The Centre is undertaking the development of a training program for solid waste personnel that will help fill existing training gaps.  The initial focus will be several courses on topics currently of high priority to those in the solid waste industry.

This program will be integrated with existing training and certification programs in Alberta and North America (e.g. SWANA programs and Composting Council of Canada courses).

• Solid Waste Training Needs Survey Report Available
  
  In late 2008, the EWMCE conducted a survey of solid waste personnel in Alberta (and beyond) in order to determine priority training needs for the solid waste industry. Valuable information was gained from the survey responses, and this will be used to help the Centre plan and develop training modules for the solid waste sector. A brief summary of the survey results is now available.
